Sean Clayton

Sean Clayton is a North Carolina native who was raised by a family of bikers, and that upbringing shaped the entire course of his career. He grew up riding a Honda XR80, and his father’s work as a police officer in Durham exposed him early to both motorcycles and the law. After graduating with honors from Appalachian State University, Sean entered the University of North Carolina School of Law, where meeting Bob Karney set him on the path to representing injured riders across the Carolinas.

Sean practices law with the belief that people deserve to be treated fairly, and he works to level the playing field for bikers who are too often taken advantage of. He gets to know his clients personally and fights for their rights as if they were family, because in the biker community, that is exactly how it feels. Sean’s goal is to help his clients get back to doing what they love as quickly as possible.

Education and Bar Admissions

Sean earned his Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law in Chapel Hill, where he took part in the Juvenile Justice Clinic and served as a Moot Court Executive on the International Team. He holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees, in Political Science and Spanish, from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Sean is admitted to practice law in both North Carolina and South Carolina.
